Geo Post Office & Travel Bug Hotel - Yarmouth, NS Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

dryfly & catch: Due to illness, there is not much time to do maintenance, and with much hesitation, we have asked a fellow cacher to adopt and replace the hotel in a new area. Thanks to all who visited, it was great seeing the activity and also for the kind notes left behind. Oddly, enough, a few bugs moved away, but did not get logged in to their new destination. For that we are sorry, but we had no control, once the bugs travel on. Best wishes to the new hotel soon to be erected!![:)] [^]

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Guaranteed Muggle Free - Don't worry, it's OK to be here!
Easy access - USE THE LONG DIRT DRIVEWAY directly across from Charles Street.

Here is a hotel and post office - all for you - as close to Yarmouth as we can offer - and guarantee safe-keeping.
Owners have given permission - please enjoy.

Here is how it works:
Travel Bug Hotel: This provides a place to drop and retrieve travel bugs to move from the Yarmouth area to other places.

Post Office: Provdes a place to hold postcards. Each postcard will have a short message and a forwarding address on it. The address will contain the person's name that you are trying to send the postcard to, their home city, and a destination cache. The idea is to move postcards between Geo-Post Offices until they reach their destination. When you move a postcard or message from one place to another, let the person who it's being sent to know where you moved it to, because they might be near enough to go and pick it up. If you move a postcard from one Geo-Post Office to another, please move it closer to the city or cache!

You can send any message you want to anyone you want!

How do you get started? Easy! Just write up your postcard and drop it in the Geo-Post Office!

If there are any postcards in the cache when you arrive, feel free to forward them on if you can. If not, don't worry, just leave them for the next cacher.

There is a log box and pen for registering your visit. As well, there are a few blank cards available and free for the taking, Or you can bring along your own "card".

No other trade items, please.
PLEASE DO NOT DEPLETE THE INVENTORY. If you take one, leave one. We appreciate your cooperation.
