Note: The puzzle calculation was revised 10/18/23 to reflect many changes in the park. See note at end of cache description.
The cache is located in Meadowdale County Park, but the only access to the park is the parking lot at N 47 51.420, W 122 18.988. Follow the signs from 52nd Ave W. Do not try to access the park from 75th Place W. along the waterfront - this is a gated entrance for the park ranger only, and there is no parking along 75th. From the parking lot, a one-mile trail descends about 500 feet elevation to the park and the beach. Kids seem to do fine, but I have seen plenty of out-of-breath adults back at the parking lot. The park has a large grass field, picnic areas, and an access tunnel under the railroad tracks to the beach. The park has been completely re-done into a huge estuary and trail going under the tracks.
This cache is a multi-cache, with one clue in order to get the final coordinates of the cache: The cache coordinates take you to a sign on the beach. Use the information from the sign to find the final coordinates.

PLEASE be careful when seeking and re-hiding. This trail has LOTS of muggles, so you must be stealthy.
Update 11/09/23: So much has changed since I hid this cache in 2002, 18 years ago. The original location is completely overgrown, and the most recent location is now under the grass field. A small tunnel under the railroad tracks has been replaced with a huge bridge over a new estuary for the stream. I eliminated the first waypoint on the trail to make it more accessible to visitors using the disabled parking.
