A bigger than a decon, hidden in along the back Bone trail, between
the hub and Will Roger’s State Historic Park.
A simple cache, hid on an underserved portion of the Back Bone
trail. Located within 45 feet of the trail. This leg of the BBT
travels along the Will Roger’s fire road, though just a
trail, connecting Trippet ranch to WRSHP. So, just a reward for
your travels.
Temescal Peak is just around the corner, so forget to seek out
peak a view, and sign the peak logbook too!

November 6, 2009 by dbir (1114 found) I didn't go looking for the landslide because I was too tired at this point. Just finding the cache was enough for me. Thanks.

October 16, 2009 by Department of Adventure (146 found) I was unable to log caches for several months, and found this one a while back. I didn't record the date it was found, unfortunately. Thank you very much for the cache!

October 3, 2009 by Cairngorm (355 found) It's so long since I was around here that I wasn't aware the BBT has been rerouted far, far away from the landslide. So I arrived here across the landslide, and wondering (I still am) what's happened to the old trail that used to lead 800ft down into the canyon. Anyway, thanks for the hide!

September 8, 2009 by J-Man (125 found) I'll have to come back for the rest of the caches on this trail, but at least I got to this one. TFTH.

September 3, 2009 by paleolith (463 found) Quite a walk over from theBack Door, aka Max's Boundary, but I had found all the caches in between. I took the old trail entrance, crossing the slide area which forced the relocation. The slide area appears to have stablized enough that the trail could be rebuilt over it, but it looks to me like three separate slides have wolloped the head of the canyon in recent decades, so perhaps avoid that area is best. When I looked on the maps, I was thinking this might be on the beginning of the Bay Tree Trail, but that's a few yards the other side of the junction. I've been past here a few times on volunteer trail work. Once was a SMMTC/CORBA work day, starting on the official part of the BBT from the road to here and going down to Lone Oak. Two other times were SMMTC/SC work days on the Bay Tree Trail, and those times we took the old trail in. Getting to drive up here is a perk of trail work. One of the great things about Spinal Tap is that all the attention to the BBT caches is resulting in some great geotrails! Went on down the BBT trying not to bash myself on any Lower Limb.
