December 11, 2009 by TrailtrekerNJ (61 found) Went on a whim with Barney for a walk after work. Just had GPS with co-ordinates logged in, no additional clues. Should track down caches this way more often? Knew of main trail off the road, did not know of the eventual sub-trail. That's what makes this sport so nice, unknown / new destinations. Took blue plastic pig & Central Jersey Geocaching Coin. I am going to join the two and send on an adventure. Left a quarter, thats all I had on me. Signed log, left piggie warm & dry.

December 3, 2009 by vinjoepete (26 found) This piggy has a multitude of piglets inside. I took one and left some new buttons still in its plastic baggie. Saw a big deer running nearby. Took a pic but he was so far away by the time I took the picture, it is hard to see him. TFTC

November 28, 2009 by trowel32 (4547 found) After grabbing some caches further east in Cheesequake I came over here to try to defeat the evil Big Bad Wolf again and to visit this piney piggy . I had a strange sense of deja vu coming into this general area and I remembered getting really turned around last time. I think when I was in here for This Solo Piggy, it was at least daytime, but today it was very near dusk. Still I figured I had enough time to grab piney piggy and get back out to the more "obvious" trail before dark. I followed a variety of trails over to the piggy, starting with what I guess is the white trail. Even in daylight, this isn't an overly obvious trail and the white paint splotches are getting pretty faded . From the white trail I think I turned west-southwest onto some secondary trail or deer path or something, but it got me to the GZ. Once at the general location I actually spent quite a bit of time looking for this piggy, even after I checked the hint. Wasn't sure if I was looking for a vertical or horizontal hint item, and my GPS was bouncing me around like crazy even so far as to leading me up the embankment which was some distance away. The coordinates seemed reasonably correct in the end, but even with the hint I was still having trouble homing in on piggy. At this point it was after sunset and was starting to get fairly dark but I finally spotted the house of straw. Even though I have logged it before, I grabbed the piggy coin out of the cache since it seemed a little lost in there. Unfortunately the Big Bad Wolf grabbed him later when I wasn't paying attention, so now someone will have to rescue him from there I also admired the blue piggy keychain thingy but he wanted to stay in his house of straw I had all intentions of trying to follow the trail on my way back out but didn't do a very good job. It was now dark and I started heading off in the entirely wrong direction towards some houses, which I guess weren't the houses I thought they were . Good thing I had my GPS track to follow out or else I might probably still be out there . Thanks for the fun.
