Urdini lakes are a group of 6 cirque lakes, located in Urdiniya cirque, situated in north-western Rila, north of Damga peak. The highest lake is at 2375 m altitude. In the summer you can reach the lakes in several ways:
if you start from CMS Malyovitsa in 4 h 30 min. you can reach Urdini lakes via Malyovitsa hut, Ovcharski uley, Malyovishki lakes. After them the path goes down toward the valley of Urdina river where you should turn on the left and in 40 min. to climb up to the lakes.
Another option is from CMS Malyovitsa to go back along the asphalted road for Govedartsi. About 100 m on the left a red-marked path separates and leads to Vada hut. Follow it to the bridge over Urdina river from where along the river starts a path for Urdini lakes. However, this way you will miss all the beautiful views as most of the time you will walk in a forest.
You can reach the lakes from Zeleni hill and Damga peak as well. The path from Damga peak is marked by stone pyramids. From Urdini lakes you can go on to the nearby and far more well-known The Seven Rila lakes, Ivan Vazov hut, the Rila monastery.
