Under Cover...A Matter of Time Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

JollyJax: With much regret as I am living too far away to maintain the series, the game is now over. For those that wondered who Hem Slobbich was or rather is ... thats easy ... its me. The name is an anagram of my real name.

The series was inspired by a gravestone in Wood Eaton Churchyard bearing some Japanese characters and in memory of Richard Storey, Professor of Japanese Studies at Oxford University. The grave also remembers his wife Dorothy.

Geocache Description:

A series of caches following the escapades of a newly released prisoner from a local prison and his goal of recovering a hidden hoard....

I am prevented from looking for my own stash by this tag round my ankle.  That is one of the reasons I am not looking for the box myself but hoping you will help me find it.  I cannot leave a 5 mile area and I have a curfew after dark.  I made a map and have hidden it in a box in some woods but I wont tell you here where to find it.  Instead I have devised a number of box locations some of which will give you clues to the maps' location and some that will give you information about the final stash.  Read everything carefully and you will have the rewards you deserve. I cant go get the map myself, as the guy that put me away is still watching me like a hawk and hoping I will lead him to the stash.  Under cover is a term used by the law and others to describe an operative or operation where the players aren’t all they seem and haul might also be disguised. In this case the cache is all of that and even then well hidden at the site.

When I ran away from the last drop site still circling Bicester roughly speaking I came across a pretty village called Fringford. I didn’t have time to take coordinates as I pelted down main street but saw a few things you should look for in order to find my fifth hidden box that again carries a symbol and a number within. The numbers you will have noticed are all from a childrens toy and the symbols are Japanese but that wont matter at the end.

Along the road I saw a house displaying a prominent yellow sign. There were three distinct place names in larger letters and the first was A miles away. The third name mentioned was B miles away.

Further along the road I glanced at a water source where Doug Crowther was honoured in the C month of the year.

Finally, a strange house with lots of corners and a slinky resident grey timid cat was adorned with the year of 18D8.

Using these numbers the final cache can be found at one of the two locations below. In my haste, out of breath and running hard, I took two readings that I thought were together but later discovered an error in one. Which is impossible for me to now know so look for a gateway with a fallen tree beyond. This is the place that I remember.

{This can be done as a night cache for those with a stout constitution but beware that things will move as you move and the noises aren’t as natural as the smells}
