Geocache Description:

Champagne Summit is located in the Laguna Mountains. 360 degree view at the summit. Elevation 5,492. Difficulty level 2.5 because of various trails that lead to the summit, some are steeper than others. But overall the trail is well maintained, however, rocky in spots.

Although there are other caches in the Laguna Mountain area, this particular cache has breathtaking panoramic views from the desert to the Laguna Mountain station, to the Cuyamaca Peaks and south towards I-8. This cache is accessible by hiking, biking or horseback. The summit coordinates are N32 54.424, W116 29.872. You can see for miles on a clear day. It's worth the extra few feet from the cache to the summit.

Thanks to the help of my bride and my best friend Bronco Bob we were able to put together this cache in a three gallon, white plastic bucket, with a sealed lid. The coordinates and the letters GPS are on the lid.
