It's a camoed decon container hanging in a small tree. Please re-hide it so that muggles won't see. The terrain rating is for the steep hike to get here.

Ursula the Bear is known to frequent this area.

I saw her pawprints in the mud near here about 2 yrs ago. Someone very helpfully constructed a viewpoint bench a few feet from the cache. You can sit there and look around at the surrounding hillsides for Ursula.

Cache Logs
August 7 by RCKen (709 found)
LAEd and I did a long, long hike up Weldon Canyon to Mission Peak and back down East Canyon. This had to be over 8 miles, but it was a fairly cool August day. One could have a picnic up here. I was wondering if anyone knows what the tall poles with the wooden horizontal piece is for. We saw several of these in the area but had know idea what they are used for. Our best guess was a perch for a hawk maybe?

Found cache, added stuff. A few years ago, on the way to this spot, spotted a fresh deer kill by a mountain lion. On the way back, the mountain lion dragged the deer off some place to keep for leftover’s. There used to be a cover on the viewpoint. It would be a nice Scout project to recover it and maybe construct a table there.
