Det var vid den här platsen som curling spelades först i Sverige. Året var 1846 och spelet introducerades av skotten William Andrew McFie som hade slagit sig ner i Uddevalla. 1852 bildades Bohuslänska Curlingklubben, en klubb som fortfarande är mycket aktiv.

This was the place were curling was played for the first time in Sweden. The year was 1846 and the game was introduced by the scottsmen William Andrew McFie that had settled down in Uddevalla. In 1852 "Bohuslänska Curlingklubben" was founded this is an association that is still very active.
