Now that Greenup Day is over, the grass is getting green, plants
are growing, and gnats are out. So it was time to hide this cache.
It has been placed for the Vermont Vocabulary Virus (GC18G12).
To provide you with a better experience both driving to the cache
and hiking the trail, I've waited till mud season is pretty much
over. This cache is on the Stowe Land Trust Crawford property. To
get there, head north on VT 100 from Waterbury Center, turning left
on Moscow Rd. Then left on Adams Mill and continue straight on
Barnes Hill Rd. Park at N 44°25.708 W 72°43.808, in a pulloff big
enough for several cars, then head into the woods on the old farm
road which soon turns to go along a magnificent stone wall. I saw
many deer tracks when I was placing the cache. You may see and hear
other wildlife as well. The round trip distance to and from the
cache is just under 1 mile.
Congrats to RSAKVT, who got the FTF prize, a copy of the Green
Mountain Club Day Hiker's guide.
