Geocache Description:

15 years ago today we were given the ability to find Ground Zero.

How well have we used that ability over the past 15 years ??

NO EXCUSES

If you have a GPS you can't get lost. Well ... that's the theory!!

N 33° 44.406 W 116° 24.520

Come join us in celebrating 15 years of Geocaching.

On May 2, 2000 "Selective Availability" was discontinued as a result of the 1996 executive order, allowing users to receive a non-degraded signal globally. The first geocache was placed in Washington State on May 3, 2000.

Technically, it is not Signal's Birthday today. This would be more of a 'Conception' party. Signal wasn't born until months after the Blue Switch date. But who cares ... it's time to P A R T Y !!!

Time: 9:30am - 10:00am
Date: May 2nd, 2015 - Saturday
Place: The Fountain (next to that coffee joint) at The River
(behind Hwy 111 on Bob Hope Dr)
What: GEOCACHING'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Come share caching stories, adventures, and misadventures. Just a quick get together celebrating the start of everything. Bring trackables for trade and travel if you have them. There is no 'maximum' time limit - stay longer if you choose.
