Geocache Description:

Having climbed Snowdon in 2004 and Ben Nevis in 2005, both for cache events, I wanted to complete the British set in 2006 by climbing Scafell Pike too. I hope you can join me on Saturday the 12th of August for a 9am start.

The co-ords above are for car parking at Wasdale Head, which is as close to Scafell Pike as you can drive on public roads. I suggest getting here as early as possible to get a space. If coming by train, the closest station looks to be at Drigg. We'll leave the car park at 9am.

After the climb we'll go to the pub in Wasdale Head for a drink, TB/Coin swap and general geo-chat. I hope a good crowd will be able to join me in climbing England's highest mountain - 977m (3205ft). More info, including web links, weather reports and general updates to follow. If folks who are coming could mail me their mobile numbers, that'll help me co-ordinate things on the day. Ta!
