Geocache Description:

Located in Sourland Mountain Reservation off of the new Blue Dot Trail. This is a black 1.5 quart tupperware container.

During the Prohibition, bootleggers operated stills hidden in the large boulders found in this part of the park. The new (2004) Blue Dot trial offers a nice hike through this part of the park and these large rocks. The cache is hidden near the trail in a spot where a bootlegger may have gone to avoid detection.

From the parking area located off of East Mountain Road, it is about 1.2 miles round trip directly to and from the cache. However, I suggest hiking the whole Blue Dot trail, which when combined with the rectangular trail is about a 2 mile loop. (See the kiosk at the parking area for more detailed trail information.)
