Cache is located on Black Mountain in the rocky volcanic McCullough Mountain Range in Henderson. Hiking boots are recommended for the trek to this cache. As always when hiking around Las Vegas in the summer months (a trek to this cache in the summer may be too demanding) bring along with you water and wear a hat to protect your self from the sun. During the Spring/Summer/Fall month's hikers in Las Vegas area should be aware that rattlesnakes may be present.
This is part of the Middle-earth series of caches. Rocks fully cover the cache which was stored in a plastic black ammo box that mysteriously disappeared. The new Metal Black Ammo Box was donated and delivered by narfink. If you are lucky you might view a herd of big horn sheep as you trudge up the slope of Black Mountain.
