The Iowa Geocachers Organization is an Introduction to Geocaching Event as a prelude to Hike-N-Seek (HNS) XIV.
Started in 2004, HNS is hosted in different locations across Iowa and is one of the largest Geocaching events in Iowa annually. This year the event is hosted in Story County.
This years theme will be: A Little Caching on the Prairie
Event Details:
The Introduction to Geocaching Event will be at the Story County Conservation Center at 56461 180th St, Ames, IA 50010. We will begin the program at 1:00pm inside the Conservation Center. This activity is meant for people with no knowledge of Geocaching and also newer Geocachers wanting to learn more about the game. The event will take about two hours including classroom and outdoor portions. If you wish to download a Geocaching Application to your phone that can be used in lieu of a GPS to locate Geocaches.
Register for the Introduction to Geocaching Event by placing a "Will Attend" log on this event.
