I have many things planned for this annual event including a corn
roast, bonfire, hay ride/ barn tour, TB/Coin swap shop, information
on GPS in agriculture, caches(day and night) and a fun little
campfire game for a great bunch of prizes.
This year I am asking for a nominal charge of $3 per person
(age 5 and up) to a max. of $10 per family. Hopefully this will
help fund the event .
Please check back often to get updates that will appear
every couple weeks. The day of the event there will be some
coords posted for some event only caches that you will have to
visit if you wish to play the campfire game.I will also finalize
the times for the different parts of the event. It will start at
5:00pm with the barn tour before the event starts. Much more to
come
Update for June 24
Warning the black flies have arrived! They usually die off a bit by
August though!
I have been busy building caches for the event roadside series and
I have placed 3 so far to get published the day of the event.
Things are shaping up and I just purchased 3 more ammo cans that
need a home out in the world.
I believe I've got a wagon located for the wagon ride/ barn tour
and my neighbour assures me that his sweet corn will by ready on
time dispite the cool wet start it had.
It looks like we're at about 40 people already and I'm looking for
to meeting all the usual suspects and the new names as well.
Keep checking back for more info especially the week before.
UPDATE July 31st Well one week from now and I'll have a
lot of people in my back yard. It will be held here and not at the
farm regardless of the weather so please dress for the day. I have
alot to do in the next week so this will likely be the last update
until the day of the event.
On the day of the event there will be coords posted for some event
only caches to be found. At each of these caches please take 1
envelope per family and do not open it. You may visit as many of
the caches as you wish but only take 1 envelope per cache. There
will be 10 caches and 40 envelopes per cache. Thats right in the
last 2 nights I have stuffed,and licked 400 envelopes! I sure
hope the glue isn't too toxic!
I have also got 4 permanment caches to be released that day and
possibly more to come.
The prize table has lots of farm goodies and some other
stuff.
I look forward to seeing you all next week and remind you that
this events success depends upon your participation and
donations.
There will be Free Wireless High Speed Internet during
the event provided by Rogers.
