Help meeee...Not exactly!!! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

victorymike: I was paid a visit by The Cache Machine and lokirime yesterday. They informed me that the lock was gone and the pretzel jar and all cache items were gone. They did manage to retrieve the cache sig item from inside the birdhouse, however.

Today I got another pretzel jar together and a new padlock and new instructions for one of the stages. When I made it back to the site the entire birdhouse was gone, bolts and all. So I went and retrieved the bird's nest/egg and the live trap/rat stages. Too bad...this was my favorite hide.

Geocache Description:

This is a double-offset cache and is located in Lilly park (Pittsfield Township). There is parking nearby and many trails meander about the park. You will need a compass or the ability to project a waypoint to complete this cache. All of the "stages" are located not far off of the trails.

The coordinates will take you to the location of the cache but you will not be able to get to the goodies. Follow these directions to claim your prize:

1). If you have the ability to project a waypoint, do so at a bearing of 166 degrees and a distance of 801 feet.

If you are using a compass follow a magnetic bearing of 174 degrees for 267 yards.

You will find something that the park's woodland creatures helped me to hide. Please be gentle with it. Two numbers will be evident. It is critical to remember these numbers.

2). Return to the cache coordinates listed above. You are halfway to glory!

3). If you have the ability to project a waypoint, do so at a bearing of 227 degrees and a distance of 780 feet.

If you are using a compass follow a magnetic bearing of 234 degrees for 255 yards.

You will find something that the woodland creatures helped me to hide. One critter even promised to guard this cache against muggles. Be careful, though. Some stealth is required to retrieve and hide this cache. Remove the lid and see 2 more numbers.

4). You now have everything that you need to retrieve and log this cache. Return for your prize. Please note that there are two strings in this cache. Lay the cache over them when returning the cache to its hiding place. These strings act as an ejection system when the next finder opens the lid.

I verified the waypoint projections on my palm iiixe using Cachemate. Please let me know if you have any problems with any of my numbers or directions.

There are 18 cache specific signature items for the first wave of finders. Please take and enjoy one.

There is a cache camera located within this cache. Please take your picture but leave the camera in the cache.
