PLEASE PERFORM A Pocket Query and update your
electronic devices to include all GooTech caches. We'll have SOME
paper copies available, but if you have yourself dialed in SO MUCH
THE BETTER! Bring something for the raffle, if you'd like to share,
and something to put in a cache container so we can give away a
fully-stocked cache for the winner to hide. Bring a sense of fun
and adventure. Come one, come all! Since placing his first
cache on June 15, 2007, GooTech has placed 96 caches (and growing),
many of which have really stumped many of us. How do EYE find them?
Think of THE most obscure possibility, and look there. Works ...
sometimes. In honor of GooTech, Poison Oak Cachers invite friends,
family, old-timers and newbies for a group hunt followed by pizza
at a local gathering spot.
Meet at the coordinated by 9:45 a.m. to regroup, carpool, and
head out on the hunt departing at 10 a.m. Return at Noon(ish) for
lunch and storytelling, travel bug swapping, raffles (bring goodies
for the raffle, too, please), fun & games for the whole
family.
EVENT HISTORY: GooTech doesn't know
about this event...yet. Some of the Poison
Oak Cachers (PointSalJim, Geo_Cat, OreoPony and I) were hiking the
Buchon Trail awhile back and I told them about GooTech caches. They
were up for a cachin' day down here stormin' the Goo.
We figured on spending a day at it (some of the caches are
mind-boggling), but came up instead with making it a group event.
Will we each find all of his caches that day? Not in time for
lunch. But who says you can't go BACK out after lunch?
Here's what I envision - Meet up at the pizza joint, team up and
fan out. Reconvene for grub at lunchtime, swap stories (but no
spoilers!), then either head back to the responsibility of real
life, hang out and relax at the parlor or hit the Gooey trail
again.
Will Master Goo add new caches in honor of this event? I don't
know! But somehow I have a feeling he's got something REALLY
diabolical up his sleeve and has been waiting for JUST the right
time to lay it on us...
