Lovers Point has been a favorite destination since Pacific Grove
was founded over 100 years ago. Tourists in the early 1900's
arrived at the nearby train station to picnic, bathe in the calm
cove, rent bicycles, and ride in the Swan glass bottom boat. A
Japanese tea house once stood on the point as well as the original
Hopkins Marine Station.
Today, Lovers Point is a popular destination for photography,
picnicking, weddings, surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, wading,
tide pooling (collecting is NOT allowed), and rock scrambling. You
can rent a bike or surrey, have a game of volleyball, or grab a
snack or a cache!
This cache continues the theme of the original Love is in the
Air cache. Please keep any trade items related to love and
caring
Please exercise caution on the rocks and be especially careful
when the surf is breaking nearby. And as always, be mindful of
mugglers and replace the cache exactly as found.
Please replace so you can't see it, and mugglers won't
be able to either. Thanks!
