Enjoy the drive (which can be made in a 2WD if the road is dry) and the sights on the way. The hot pool is nice, stay a while. Take bird book and binoculars.
(Well, it used to be! We passed by in May, 2018 to find the bore has been capped off and little water is now on the property. The hot pool is no longer and the creek that remains will sustain some wildlife, but the majority is long gone. What a shame!!
It used to be such a beautiful place. Still a great place to visit as all Australians should consider ticking the Birdsville Track off the bucket list.)
