A Caching Christmas Cracker 2007 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Cache Hoppers: Well I suppose I better archive this one now before the cache police start putting rude SBA notes on it [:D]. Thanks to everyone for a really great day - bet this year whizzes by and before we know it we will be celebrating Christmas 2008. Happy New Year everyone. Don't forget to pull out your geocoins/TB's and log any that you picked up. Cheers, Liane [:)]

Geocache Description:

It’s that time of year again!

It has proved way too difficult to find a pub capable of holding us all this year so we are going for something completely different. We’re having a Christmas Party at Rushall Farm, near Bradfield in Berks. (Please note: the coordinates show the event as being at Rushall Manor Farm - the two are linked, with the main part being at the area shown on maps as Rushall Farm. We have a large under cover area at our disposal, plenty of car parking, and good toilet facilities including one for our disabled cachers. Although we have roof cover, we will essentially be al fresco, so make sure you are wearing your thermals and keep your fingers crossed for mild weather!

We have put out some new caches for the event. They will go live at the weekend, in time for logging, and full details (paper and electronic) will be available at the event.

Proceedings will commence at 12 noon and go on until around 5pm, depending on the weather. Refreshments will take the form of hotdogs and home made soup and rolls to warm you up, and mince pies to follow. Please bring your own liquid refreshment; alcoholic beverages are most definitely permitted. You are quite welcome to bring a picnic lunch if you prefer. There are some tables and chairs available, but it would be greatly appreciated if those who can bring camping chairs and tables along to supplement these.

If anyone would like to help out with contributions of rolls, mince pies, Christmas crackers, or raffle prizes, etc., please contact us via our profile.

The farm is a charitable trust, and they ask for a donation of £1 per head for everyone attending. We will give everyone who donates £1 a raffle ticket and there will be a few caching related prizes and probably a few other ones too.

Please add this event to your watchlist so you don’t miss out on any updates.

Dorsetgal and Geodog’s I Pledge Geocoin and logbook come to a rest at this event, and Wendy will be holding a draw for all those who have placed a wheelchair accessible cache as they pledged.

The past two Christmas events have been so enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you all again this year, plus lots of new people too.

Alibags is holding her annual Christmas bash  the evening before at the George & Dragon, Northchurch.

Bring it on Santa!!!
