Geocache Description:

Cache is a nano. Parking available on the street.

The present church of St. Mary and St. George was designed by Mr. A. M. Calderon of Edmonton and built of local materials in 1928. It is a church of gifts from near and far which began with an anonymous donor giving the present building as a memorial to her son. To complete the church the Edith Cavell memorial tower was added in 1932. In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache. Please bring your own pen. !!!(UPDATE: Unfortunately this beautiful church burned down in the Jasper fire. The cache is still available as it is outside of the fence that has been erected around the remains of the church. It is heartbreaking to see this and I hope that they will rebuild in the future.)!!!
