Geocache Description:

Up Mowbray Ridge....

This cache is on the Mowbray hill. This is the best approach:

Park at the Rhodes Memorial. Walk up to the block house. There is a path behind the block house, starting at the reservoir. The path heads up towards the cliff and is a nice little packed stone path that zig-zags up. When you reach the GPS co-ordinate there is a big flat rock/slab with lichen and moss on the edge of the ridge. From there you should be able to see over UCT and Rhodes Memorial and out towards Muizenburg/Woodstock and Tablebay. Behind the big flat rock are two large boulders. The cache is hidden between the 2 boulders in a crack. The cache is in a plastic container with a green lid.

It contains:
Poetry book of local poets
pencil and notepad.

The cache is simple enough but the path is quite exposed and anyone afraid of heights should take it easy. You don’t need ropes but there are points on the path with quite a large drop-off.
