This is an all day adventure requiring approx 4-6 hrs to complete. Wear proper clothing and be prepared.
I would recommend this cache on days with a west wind of some sort, as east winds tend to raise the water level, and make this cache VERY difficult
Welcome to Woodtick Peninsula!
Drive to the end of Erie Rd. and park in the lot(by the consumers power plant).
Here's where the fun begins!(walk to the lake)
The first stage of this 4 stage cache is about 1.7 miles from your location.("power lady" cache is also close by)
As you find the stages, you will be instructed as to the whereabouts of the final stage.
You WILL need to be prepared for this trek.
I would suggest a camera, proper shoes or boots(your feet are going to get wet!),fluids,munchies,bug spray,long pants
and extra batteries packed in a backpak.
Be prepared for some startling sights.
I saw many dead fish, as well as swans, sea gulls, possums and muskrats. Also saw many live beasts as well.
It seems nature is in its full cycle out here.
Keep looking up, as bald eagles frequent the area.
From what I know, its ok to be here as long as you stay on or near the beach(or lack there of).Do not use the grated road, as this is where heavy machinery is operated by the power plant.If you have to leave the beach area, return as soon as possible.
This cache is also obtainable by water, but the lake is shallow here.Check your charts!
Overall, It's about a 6 mile hike.There is a 5$ Greektown casino token for the FTF.Could win you millions!!!
