This is the first of a series of urban geocaches to celebrate one of the greatest Motion Picture and Television locations in the world- New York City.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of the classic (if not slightly dated) movies of all times. If you haven't seen it (or if it's been awhile) I recommend you give it a look.
It was released in 1961 and was directed by Blake and starred Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen and Mickey Rooney. The script was based on a Truman Capote novella. The film won two Oscars, one for it's score and the other for best song, "Moon River".
It was filmed on both Hollywood sound stages and on several locations here in Manhattan.

Tiffany's and Co at 5th Ave and 57th St. (40 45.76 73 58.44) The now famous opening scene was shot very early on a sunday morning. Also, the interior was used for the scene where Holly and Paul have a ring engraved.

Naumburg Bandshell (Central Park, The Mall) (40 46.34 73 58.28)
Exterior of 169 East 71 Street (40 46.165 73 57.721) is the Limestone home where Holly and Paul lived. Several scenes were shot right out front of this location and many of the buildings that show up in the background can still be found there today. The coordinates for the cache will bring you here, to a lovely and quiet street on the Upper East Side.
When you visit the spot, think about where a container might be hidden before you start to trash the place.
