Background: Bookcrossing
This cache is a storage place for bookcrossing
books.
Bookcrossing works as follows: Books are marked with a unique
identifier, a bookcrossing ID, which can be tracked on the
site bookcrossing.com, much
like a geocoin or a travel bug.
The idea is that everyone who reads the book can leave a log
entry at the website. It is fun when the books change owners often
and travel around. You can pass on a bookcrossing book to a friend
or a relative, but more exciting is to leave it at a public place
(for example at a cafe or on a train) where any stranger might find
your book and leave a message!
Description of the cache contents
This cache is an experiment. It is a large container, in which 3
standard-sized pocket books (17.5cm x 11cm) fit easily. The
intention is that these books will be bookcrossing books,
and that this cache can be used by bookcrossers in Göteborg to
bookcross their books.
The rule is, that I don't like rules. So: When you find the
cache, take as many books as you like, and/or leave as many books
as fit. Be sure to register a pocket book at
bookcrossing.com
before you go hunt for this cache! I hope the
cache will keep its bookcrossing "spirit", but if not, I will try
to introduce more strict rules.
The cache can also be used as a normal cache with normal trading
items, but please give precedence to bookcrossing books.
When you put in / take out books, please mention on your log
what books you put in and what books you took out. The books can be
in any language (however, English or Swedish is preferred); the
only requirement is that they have been registered at bookcrossing.com.
Description of the cache location
The cache is located in lovely Guldheden, at the footpath/stairs
called "Dr. Lehmanss Gångväg", going down from Dr.
Lindhs gata down to the Sahlgrenska area.
