Geocache Description:

Located just outside of Salt Whistle Bay on the island of Mayreau, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The cache is at 115ft up Mt. Carbuit, which is at the northeastern side of the anchorage.

The cache is in a small clear waterproof container burried underneath a stone cairn near the top of Mt. Carbuit, with views over both Mayreau and the Tobago Cays to the east. The most likely means of access to this cache is by private or charter boat, anchoring in Salt Whistle Bay in approx. 10 to 15 feet of water. Salt Whistle Bay is a beautiful stop with one of the best beaches in the Grenadines. Be sure to visit the small settlement when you are on the island.

Use caution approaching this cache as the trail is steep, overgrown, and has many thorny bushes. Recommend wearing sturdy shoes and perhaps long pants.

Original contents include travelbug "Space Shuttle Larry," a "stealth clip" with stealth clip game instructions, a capsule of silica gel (useful for SCUBA o-rings and other waterproof gear), and a keychain thermometer from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.

As skipper of the sailing yacht Capriccio I would like to give credit for this cache to my crew: Evan, Amit, Dyana, Zac, Mike, Steph.

Fair winds!
