Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series intended to showcase Wisconsin’s Rustic Roads (W.R.R.). Wisconsin Legislature established the Rustic Roads program in 1973 to preserve what remains of Wisconsin's scenic, lightly traveled roads.

These caches are usually hidden in the right of way at a spot of notable beauty with no bushwhacking required. Please be respectful of private property, protected lands, and the overall history of the area. Take your time, mind your speed, and most of all… enjoy your journey along the road less traveled.

This particular cache is a small container hidden along Rustic Road 8, a paved loop road in Brown County. RR 8 consists of Reforestation Road, Westview Road, West Pine Road and Sunrise Road where the cache is hidden. Total length is 3 miles.

Located between Flintville and Suamico, R8 wanders between stands of hardwood and coniferous trees that stretch along its length near a county park. Along with the mix of forest and suburban sprawl, travelers will find horse and snowmobile trails, hiking, and the NEW Zoo.

Some friendly tips: There is no parking along the road in this area, but there is a parking lot near GZ you may want to use. The coordinates should get you close to the point along the south end of the road where the cache is hidden, but you will need to walk off the road a few feet to get to it. Also, my caches are usually always camo'd to fit in with the surroundings in some way, not with duct tape.

Please be respectful of private property and take care with retrieving and replacing the cache to save the experience for the next cacher. Happy hunting!
