Birds
Come on out for a weekend of kayaking, camping, and caching around the islands off Sidney, just north of Victoria BC

ITINERARY

Click for large version Saturday, May 1

  • Meet at Swartz Bay Government Wharf (above co-ordinates) at 9:30am to 10:00am, load our gear and get ready to head out
  • Depart Promptly at 10:30am. We will paddle towards Portland Island, home of the Princess Margaret Provincial Marine Park.
  • 1st cache: Bailey's by Crew of Skaga 2
  • 2nd cache: Royally Ungrateful by Dagg
  • Enjoy a quick lunch
  • Resume paddling and head for Imrie Island
  • 3rd cache: Plantman #11 by The Cachecruise Cache Crew
  • Continue towards Gooch Island (Rum Island)
  • Arrive at Rum Island, set up camp.

    Sunday, May 2

  • 4th cache: RumYak by Dagg Click for larger version
  • Pack up camp, head southwest to Sidney Island.
  • 5th cache: Day at the Spit by DaveO
  • Head back Northwest
  • 6th cache: Midway by Peregrine007
  • 7th cache: Easy Paddlin' by Peregrine007
  • 8th cache: Delirious Portage by Dagg
  • Paddle back to Swartz Bay Government Wharf
