Congratulations to "K is for Krazy", who trudged up here through the snow in January to retrieve the FTF prize (a gold Pirates of Harriman Geocoin) - proving that he really is krazy.
VICI - translated from Latin, meaning "I Conquered" This is how you might feel after reaching this seldom visited geocache, which is located 1 km from the VIDI geocache, with an altitude gain of about 120 meters. Also, like the VIDI geocache, there is no well worn trail, you might have to bushwack and scramble to reach the peak.

This is the view of the cache site from Murphy Creek (located between Rivervale and Birchbank), the cache is at the highest point, easily seen from Highway #22

Geocache is a 8" x 5" loc'n'loc container.

Enjoy your day.

I knew that I had to get on this if I was going to finish the series this year. But, as with Vidi, if there is a harder way to do it, I would have found it. Glad I went back. However, I don't really recommend people do this alone. I expect I will be hearing about this one from my husband. Thanks for the hike.

#470 - I got a call yesterday from Ringrat saying she was going to do these caches as it was getting late in the year and she wanted to do them before the snow flies. She told me she just wanted to let someone know that she was going up here in case she didn't get back right away. I took the opportunity to ask if I could accompany her as I had the last two to do as well. She accepted and off we went. Big mistake on my part. I really enjoyed the hike and the company but I did start to whine a bit on the way home. Wow what a walk........what kind of masochist puts caches on the top of mountains with no trails to them? LOL We climbed and wound our way up until we passed Vidi and no way were we backtracking as we had to go back anyways. We carried on to this cache and what a cache it is. The view is awesome and I had a great time. Thanks Zanadian for being so.......... I don't know what the word is but for the cache. TFTC SL TNLN. Actually I did leave something for the next maniac who does this cache. A coveted HNC pathtag is in the cache.

bushbaby_444 and I came, then conquered. Missed seeing...oops. No super scary sections on the way up...we picked a good route. The leaves made everything slippery and disguised the uneven ground, so it's a miracle we didn't twist anything. What gorgeous views from up here! Winter is definitely coming...it's snowy up on the peaks! Took the London GC so it doesn't get stuck here for the winter.

Yaaa ... ftf with no snow on the ground !
I had a great time finding the first two of this series last winter.
As soon as the summer heat was gone I got thinking of making the trip to the top for this one.
Drove the car in a couple of km. Can't do that in the winter.
Pretty much straight lined it to the cache with some interesting scrambling and bushwhacking along the way.
Ordered out for granola bars and dried apricots on the summit.
Glad I marked a waypoint at the car so I could find it on the way out.
A very challenging and yet very fun cache.
Cache is in perfect condition.
THANKS
Took the Cache Effect coin and left London Geocoin, a quarter and a bookmark.

Got within .3 k of GZ but decided to let the bear and her cub have the right of way. Again I led my poor sister all over the mountain to get to where we were. Not sure if she will go with me again but I will return.
PLEASE NOTE: I found 4 ticks on me when I got home. It is the season so please be aware of these pests as well as the bears.
