G.L.O.B.E Cache - Mixed & Matched Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

iowaPete: Holy cow! Stopped by the ISPC grounds today to see about the modifications being made to the park and the landscape has been transformed! [:O] Things are still in the works for the new mountain bike trail. It's looking good, but this series doesn't fit in with the park anymore.

I'm excited at the possibilities that exist for this location. Keep an eye out for new dots to appear on the map, hopefully next Spring! [:D]

Geocache Description:

First cache in the G.L.O.B.E series.

Welcome back to the Interstate Power Company Preserve and to the GLOBE series. GLOBE stands for Geocaching Little Oblong Bi-colored Ellipse.  Tiny geocaching creatures that are hard to see, and fun to find!  GLOBEs come in a variety of patterns and colors.  When two globes combine, they can create exact replicas of themselves as well as 6 other potential combinations.  Your job is to find this cache, then all 6 of the combinations as well as a bonus cache to complete the series.

This cache is paramount to finding the others.  Without a find here, you'll be stuck.  Fortunately, this cache is quite straightforward and shouldn't take you long to track down.  Inside, you will find clues to the location of the other caches.  You can take the clues with you or decipher them at the cache. In fact, a spare piece of paper may go a lonnng way to helping you complete this series. In addition to deciphering the locations of the other caches, you will be required to find and keep track of a series of clues that will lead you to the final bonus cache, "The G.L.O.Q.E." The clues are located in EACH of the Globe combination caches. Trust me when I tell you that you will NOT want to go back and chase these clues down a second time!

If you take the clues with you, please remember to return them to this cache

so that the next cacher can try his/her luck.

The two globes that combine here are the striped Golden Noir Owai and the spotted Royal Blanche Tepe.  The gold (or royal) refers to their overall color, and the noir (or blanche) refers to the color of the pattern on the Globe. Remember this when deciphering your clues (It is critical!).  Container sizes will vary, and to add a slight degree of difficulty, they will not be listed with any of the cache pages.

Plan on spending about 2 or 2 1/2 hours out here in the Interstate Power Company ground in order to find all of the caches in the series. There's some up-and-down terrain, some scratchy bushes, some muddy spots, but I still think it's a neat place to hike in general, and geocache in particular. If a cache has swag, please trade fairly.  CITO when you see litter. But, most of all, have some fun with this series!

Golden Noir Owai

Royal Blanche Tepe
