This multi-cache crosses the border between Austria and Slovenia. Two stages are in either country one (virtual) stage is on the exact borderline. Special equipment is needed: Your passport! Good (waterproof) shoes won't hurt. Highlights are the gorge Heiligengeistklamm and the pilgrimage church of Sv. Duh.
Dieser Cache ist ein grenzüberschreitender Multicache in Österreich und Slowenien. In jedem Land befinden sich je zwei Stationen, eine Station ist genau an der Grenze. Man benötigt also besondere Ausrüstung: Den Reisepass! Gute (wasserdichte) Schuhe schaden auch nicht! Die schönsten Plätze am Weg sind die Heiligengeistklamm und die Wallfahrtskirche Sv. Duh.
Ta vecstopenjski geocache precka slovensko-avstrijsko mejo. V vsaki državi sta po dve postaji, ena (virtualna) pa je prav na mejni crti. Za iskanje potrebujete posebno opremo: svoj potni list! Tudi dobri (vodoodporni) cevlji ne bodo škodili. Soteska Heiligengeistklamm in romarska cerkvica Sv. Duha sta še posebno vredni ogleda.

- If you approach from the Austrian side of the border it is suggested that you park at N 46°38.275' E 015°28.316' (near the inn 'Zur Spitzmühle') and start with stage 1.
Wer von der österreichischen Seite aus kommt parkt am besten bei den Koordinaten N 46°38.275' E 015°28.316' (beim Gasthaus 'Zur Spitzmühle') und geht von dort zu Station 1.

- If you come from the Slovenian side park at stage 2 and from there go down to stage 1.
Von der slowenischen Seite aus fährt man am besten direkt zu Station 2 und geht dann zu Station 1 hinunter.

The total length of the hike is about the same, no matter where you start. One afternoon will be enough. Note: the coordinates shown on the cache page are those of stage 2 right at the borderline!
Die Länge der Wanderung ist in beiden Fällen in etwa gleich. Ein Nachmittag wird ausreichen, um dem Cache zu finden. Achtung: die Koordinaten auf der Cache-Seite sind die von Station 2.

Stage 1: Heiligengeistklamm
The way to stage 1 (coming either from above or below) will take you through the lovely gorge called Heiligengeistklamm. As the gorge is very narrow GPS reception is very bad (or not possible at all). That's why I give a precise description of the hiding place instead of a pair of coordinates.
Der Weg zu Station 1 (egal ob von oben oder unten) führt durch die schöne Heiligengeistklamm. Da die Klamm stellenweise sehr eng ist, gibt es dort sehr schlechten oder keinen GPS Empfang. Daher gibt es hier eine genaue Beschreibung des Verstecks anstatt dessen Koordinaten.
Pot proti postaji 1 (ce prihajate z dna ali z vrha) vas bo vodila skozi prelepo sotesko Heiligengeistklamm. Ker je soteska zelo ozka, bo GPS sprejemal zelo slabo, ce sploh bo. Zato je namesto para koordinat tu natancen opis skrivališca.

From the parking coordinates just follow the signs to Heiligengeistklamm. A few hundred meters after leaving the road the gorge will get narrow and at one place you will come to a large rock wall (on your left side). Passing it will require you to cross the stream (Heiligengeistbach) twice (first from left to right, then back to the left). Just after doing so you will see on the right bank a tree with a green/white marking (1m away from the stream, right where the path crosses the stream yet again from left to right). Above the ground the trunk of the tree splits into three separate trunks (one of them smaller and dead). Right where the trunk splits you will find a 35mm film canister.
Vom vorgeschlagenen Parkplatz einfach den Schildern zur Heiligengeistklamm folgen. Einige hundert Meter nachdem man die Straße verlassen hat, wird die Klamm sehr eng und man kommt zu einer großen Felswand (auf der linken Seite). Um sie zu umgehen muss man zwei mal knapp hintereinander den Heiligengeistbach überqueren (zuerst von links nach rechts, dann zurück nach links). Nachdem man das gemacht hat, sieht man am rechten Ufer einen Baum mit grün/weißer Markierung (1m vom Wasser entfernt, ganau dort wo der Weg noch einmal den Bach von links nach rechts quert). Über dem Boden teilt sich der Baumstamm in 3 Teile (einer davon klein und abgestorben). Genau in dieser 'Astgabel' befindet sich eine 35mm Filmdose.
Od koordinat parkirišca sledite znakom proti soteski Heiligengeistklamm. Nekaj sto metrov po tem, ko boste zapustili cesto, se bo soteska zelo zožila in prišli boste do velike skalne stene (na vaši levi). Tam boste morali dvakrat preckati recico Heiligengeistbach (najprej z leve na desno in nato nazaj na levo stran). Takoj potem boste na desnem bregu zagledali drevo z zeleno/belo markacijo (en meter od potoka, prav tam, kjer pot zopet precka vodo na desno stran). Nad zemljo se deblo drevesa razcepi na tri locena debla (eno od njih je manjše in odmrlo). Prav v razvejišcu boste našli škatlico od 35mm filma.
Hint: when you come across a steel cable running along the path you have gone approx. 50m to far. Looking back the tree can still be seen.
Hinweis: wenn man bei einem Stahlseil (zum Anhalten) ankommt ist man etwa 50m zu weit gegangen. Von dort aus ist der Baum aber noch sichtbar.
Namig: ko pridete do jeklene pletenice, ki je napeta ob poti, ste že kakšnih 50 metrov predalec. Ce pogledate nazaj, se od tod še vidi drevo.
In the film canister you will find instructions how to use the number YY (which you will find at stage 2) to calculate the coordinates of stage 3.

Stage 2: Saint Germain
N 46°36.917' E 015°27.727'
Here you will find a large white border stone and (close by) a boundary crossing point for hikers. There's noone to check your passport, however you should carry one with you. If you want to have your passport officially checked and stamped just follow the nearby paved road downhill. Soon you will come across a 'real' checkpoint.
Hier gibt es einen großen weißen Grenzstein und daneben eine Grenzübergang für Wanderer. Hier werden zwar keine Pässe kontrolliert man sollte aber trotzdem einen dabeihaben. Wer einen Stempel in seinem Pass haben möchte folgt der asphaltieren Straße bergab und wird bald auf einen 'richtigen' Grenzübergang stoßen.
Našli boste velik bel mejni kamen in blizu njega mejni prehod za pohodnike. Tu sicer ni nikogar, ki bi preverjal potni list, vendar ga je treba imeti pri sebi. Ce želite najti pravo obmejno kontrolno tocko in dobiti žig v potni list, se spustite po bližnji asfaltni cesti.
On the Austrian side of the border stone you will find some numbers (7 arabic numerals in total). YY is the sum of all 7 digits.
Auf der österreichischen Seite des Grenzsteins findet man einige Zahlen (7 arabische Ziffern). YY sei die Summer der 7 Ziffern.
Na avstriaski strani mejnika je napisanih nekaj številk (skupaj 7 arabskih števk). Število YY je vsota vseh sedmih števk.
Stage 3: Sveti Duh
This is the highest point of your tour. You are close to the pilgrimage church of Sveti Duh. Enjoy the view, say your prayers (if that is your thing) and then go looking for the film canister near the church. In it you will find the coordinates of stage 4.
Dies ist nun der höchste Punkt den man auf dieser Cache-Suche erreicht. Man befindet sich bei der Wallfahrtskirche Sveti Duh (Heilgengeist). Zuerst die Aussicht genießen, dann heißt's ora et labora. In einer weiteren Filmdose in der Nähe der Kirche befinden sich die Koordinaten von Stage 4.
To je najvišja tocka na naši poti. V bližini je romarska cerkvica Sveti Duh. Naužijte se razgleda in po želji pomolite, nato poišcite škatlico od filma. V škatlici boste našli koordinate postaje 4.
Stage 4: Below the Border
Go back to stage 2, cross the border there and follow the path until you come close to the coordinates. The cache is hidden in Austria, approx. 20m away from the border. You are looking for a medium-sized ammo box (25x17x10cm).
Man geht am besten zurück zu Station 2, überquert dort die Grenze und folgt dem Weg bis man den Koordinaten nahekommt. Der letzte Cache (eine Munitionskiste 25x17x10cm) ist wieder in Österreich versteckt, etwa 20m von der Grenze entfernt.
Pojdite nazaj do postaje 2, tam preckajte mejo in nadaljujte po poti, dokler ne pridete blizu pravih koordinat. Cilj je škatla za strelivo (25x17x10cm), skrita zopet v Avstriji, kakšnih 20m od meje.
