How Geocaching Works
The Coordinates listed are not the real ones for this cache. This cache is the final in a series of three caches designed to take you high up in the mountains for a spectacular view of the Illinois Valley.
You will need to first find “Those who came before us #1” to get the North coordinates and then find “Those who came before us #2” to get the west coordinates to this container. The final is a 50 cal ammo can filled with normal cache prizes.
After you find the final cache (“Those who came before us #3”) proceed approx 100-150 south and west to the name sake of the site. Please e-mail what you find that you think this cache was named for.
Also as you approach the cache be sure to wave at the Bolan lake lookout for anyone who may be staying there.

This cache is at high elevation and will not be accessible in the winter months. The road to the cache is graveled and gets steep in a few places. While placing the cache it was accessed in a two wheel drive pickup but wet weather may require 4x4 for traction to avoid damage to the roads. The first cache is located at a road junction and you should proceed up the left road to find the second stage and final cache.
