A celebration of the delights of fish. Please bring your own fish. It can be in any form: We tend to favour it in crispy batter with salt and vinegar, but you may choose to bring your pet goldfish, a fish swimming ring, fish in a plastic bucket, fish earrings, fish T shirt. Fishy TBs or geocoins are particularly welcome.
Go wild! Go fishy!
Once we've admired our fish-related fancies there will be a communal Splish Spash Dash to paddle in the sea. (Fortunately it'll be high tide about 8pm)
Please watch this listing in case of any Wet Weather Contingency Plans added nearer the date.
Announcement details:The event co-ords are roughly for the end of the short pier which goes out to the Aquarium. We're going to get our fish & chips, then aim to be there from 7pm until 8pm. If you turn up nearer to 8 you might find us paddling in the nearby sea - Whose daft idea was that then? Google Streetview shows that just across the road there's a raised area with a long line of bus shelters so if it's wet, or we want a seat for a while, we'll be under there. There are a few newer cachers attending so it would be helpful if everyone could wear some sort of badge with their caching name on it - A stick-on paper label will do - Just so we can all get to know names easily.
We'll be doing a raffle with a few geocaching prizes : No purchase of tickets required - just make sure each member of your geocaching team gets a number from us when you arrive. We'll do the random draw at 8pm
