TO REGISTER: Simply log a "WILL ATTEND" on this cache page! Please include the number of people on your team and tell us which state or country you're from in your log!

It's a FREE event! Register early! The first teams to log a will attend will be guaranteed a bag.

SIGN IN at Regner Park when you arrive at the event to Sign the official log book and Get a Free Official Drawstring Bag! These bags with coupons, city information, and various contest entry forms will be available on a first come, first serve basis at Regner Park along with the Official Cache Ba$h Booklet and Official 66-Cache Playing Card. Registered teams will also receive a Cash Prize Raffle Ticket for each member of the team that is present at check-in. The raffle is on Saturday, August 14, at 6:00pm. You must be present to win.

West Bend Geotour This series of 20 geocaches highlights the best of West Bend, showing you some of its historical, cultural, and recreational places of interest. Complete the Passport to earn a unique geocoin. To learn more, follow this link . Available all year. Go to this GeoTour Bookmark List
The 66 Cache Hunt We've enlisted area geocachers to hide 66 new caches around the West Bend area. Each geocache contains a stamp or code word. When you find the cache, stamp your Offical Playing Card. You earn more raffle tickets the more caches you find! The Official Booklet has all the cache information, hints, and a map of all 66 caches! A GPX file and Bookmark List will be added to this event page after they publish on Aug 13. Click here for Instructions on using Bookmark Lists.
Power Trail/Geo-Art! A new Candle-shaped Geo-Art power trail is planned if you like lots of quick caches. Make a wish; blow out the candle!
$1000 Cash Prize Drawing
Every registered person who signs in at Regner Park automatically gets a raffle ticket. Be sure to place your Cache Prize Ticket in the correct Raffle Barrel!
1st prize=$500, 2nd=$250, 3rd=$100, 4th=$100, 5th=$50. Must be present to win.
General Prize Drawing Prizes include geocoins, cache containers, Prime membership, gift certificates, and more. Each registered team can earn raffle tickets by finding our 66 geocaches, playing geo-bingo, or playing other official games. Must be present to win.
Cache Ba$h Geocoin for Sale A limited edition 2021 West Bend Cache Ba$h Geocoin will be sold on a first come, first served basis at Regner park. Credit cards are now accepted!
Vintage Geocoin Silent Auction On Saturday, bid on FOUR separate vintage geocoins plus an original 2009 Cache Ba$h pathtag! There are two 2010 Lackey Coins, an HQ coin, and a very cool 2013 HQ Logbook Coin. See photo gallery. Bidding ends at 5pm.
Geocaching Class! A beginner geocaching class will be taught on Saturday morning. See schedule for details.
Lab Caches There will be Adventure Lab Caches only available during our event! This year, there are 2 fun Adventures, each with 10 lab caches! You must download the Geocaching Adventure App on your smartphone. Available in App Store or Google Play. Scroll past schedule for more details!
Cache Ba$h Souvenir Earn a Virtual Souvenir on your Geocaching profile by logging an 'Attended' Log on Saturday, Aug 14. (It MUST be dated the 14th to earn the souvenir!)
Geo-bingo Find teams that match squares on your bingo card (found in your goody bag) to earn a raffle ticket for the General Prize Drawing
Signal the Frog Signal the Frog WILL make an appearance! Signal is a LOCATIONLESS CACHE type! Take a photo with Signal (no old photos allowed) at the Ba$h and log it at GC8FR0G to earn your icon!
Free pool and splash pad pass Participants will have free use of the pool and splash pad for one day of their choice at Regner Park thanks to West Bend Parks Department (coupons in goody bag)
Geocoin and Travel Bug Exchange Trackable items can be traded at the WGA Booth this year
Wisconsin Geocaching Association booth Stop by to learn about the WGA. They are a great resource for geocaching questions. They often have additional merchandise for sale and perhaps bonus fun games!
Vendors There will be a variety of geocaching vendors and educators at the event. Food vendors will not be present, but West Bend has many delicious restaurants. Ask a committee member for recommendations.
Sunday Pancake Breakfast Sunday All-you-can eat Pancake Breakfast at Regner Park - by Wisconsin Geocaching Association. Plus more fun games. See schedule below for details.
Other satellite events See schedule for details. There is a Thursday Meet and Greet, a Friday Flash Mob, a Friday CITO event, and a Saturday Community Celebration Event.

Friday 11+ Cache Type Potential (Note: Our apologies for the icon confusion! Groundspeak no longer allows logging events on days other than the official date. We were unaware of this change. You cannot log the MEGA on Friday. The nearest active Webcam cache is in Port Washington, about 18 miles away GCH51C ).

Location: Walking tour around West Bend, Wheelchair and stroller friendly

Description: Are you feeling LUCKY? This lab adventure will take you on a walking tour of West Bend. Visit some fun area businesses and follow the lucky clues at each location and you will be rewarded with a bonus treat. Total walk time is about 60-90 minutes, wheelchair and stroller-friendly. This lab adventure will be available starting Thursday, Aug 12, and will continue for a couple weeks after the Cache Ba$h.

Lodging

View featured hotel and camping options here at the West Bend Area Chamber website. During August there are many weddings that take up hotel rooms. We recommend you make your reservations early! Rates will vary by hotel but there are many reasonably priced rooms in close proximity to the Cache Ba$h. If you are having trouble finding open rooms/prices, call the Chamber for assistance.

COUNTY PARKS PASS

City parks are all free, but County parks require an entrance fee. Geocachers can enter Washington County parks for FREE during Cache Ba$h weekend only!!

Dog Owners!

According to West Bend ordinance, pets are not allowed in City parks, including Regner Park. West Bend has an off-leash dog park: “Rolf’s Park” is comprised of 10 fenced-in acres and is only 5 minutes from Regner Park! Ridge Run Park and County parks also allow dogs. As an attendee of our event, you may use Rolf’s Park at no charge. Here are the coordinates: N43 24.329 W088 12.115

There is also a new dog park at Sandy Knoll County Park at 2064 Wallace Lake Rd in West Bend.

New to our Event? A geocaching EVENT is a SOCIAL GATHERING of geocachers. A MEGA EVENT means there are over 500 people! Here’s what we recommend if it is your first time at our event:

1. Come to the park and sign in and get your Official Goody Bag. Visit Vendors and the Wisconsin Geocaching Association Booth. Get a photo with Signal the Frog, the official Geocaching mascot! This year, you can log Signal as a Locationless Cache if you get a photo. He has his own GC#! Complete an Adventure Lab (with the Adventure Lab App on a Smartphone). If you’re here the whole weekend, come to our satellite events!

2. Play Geo-Bingo. (Card in bag). Socialize with other geocachers by finding teams that match your squares. Earn raffle tickets!

3. Play our 66-Cache Hunt game. (Booklet, Map, and Playing Card in bag). Earn raffle tickets by finding as many 2021 Cache Ba$h geocaches as you can around West Bend. It’s quite an experience! With hundreds of geocachers all looking for the same 66 caches, there are lots of social opportunities at each cache! The booklet has helpful information like general cache descriptions, parking coordinates, and hints.

You can find our caches the exact same way you find geocaches in your home area. They will be publicly available on the Geocaching site starting at noon on Friday. (We offer direct transfer of coordinates to GPS receivers on Friday using a USB cable). You can download them all from home or on your phone anytime. We'll be putting a bookmark list and link of the caches on our event page after they are published. All of the 2021 Cache Ba$h caches will start with 21, such as “2101 Cache Name.”



Instructions:
How to Download a Bookmark List to use on your Official Geocaching Phone App:
Note: This feature requires Premium Membership.
1. Select a cache or this event in your app and scroll to the bottom. Click on "Open in Browser"
2. You will need to "Sign In" to your geocaching account in your browser (upper right).
3. You can now click on a Bookmark List in your browser (usually found to the right of the cache description). Choose the one you want.
4. In the upper left-hand corner, click on button that reads "Copy List"
5. Close your browser and return to your Geocaching App. Return to the main startup screen. In the bottom bar, click on "Lists." The List you just copied will now appear.
If you'd like practice, try it out with the West Bend GeoTour caches. Go to GC53BAT and give it a try.
