former history are various opinions, and is not certain though goes back a history that is Kanda Iwamotocho and here roughly until Edo period. The outer moat was repaired in the age of the army two Brigadier General [**] loyalty after Ieyasu Tokugawa had provided that it was in Edo. The Kanda river of today was artificially born as part of the business.
It was called by piling up the soil that hit the course of a river in both shores like the embankment, and having planted the willow tree in the bank according to one person and the Yanagihara bank. The wardrobe dealer seemed to open the shop according to the bank, and to have shown a lot of appearances of hall bustles. The prototype of the Iwamotocho wholesale store street of today known as "Town of the fiber" was completed recently.

The bargain sale sale that calls, "Family bazaar" in May and November every year, and centers on the fiber goods is done. Every time, there seem to be the crowd of tens of thousands of people on the day.
Please visit within that time frame and look by all means. There is surely an affordable commodity.

神田岩本町、ここの歴史は、おおむね江戸時代までさかのぼりますが、それ以前の歴史は諸説あり、定かではありません。徳川家康が江戸に居を定めた後、二代将軍秀忠の時代に外濠の改修が行われました。その事業の一環として今日の神田川が人工的に誕生しました。
 川筋にあたる土を堤防のように両岸に積み上げ、その土手に柳の木を植えたことで一名、柳原土手通りと呼ばれました。その土手に沿って古着屋が店を出し、会場の様子多くの賑わいをみせたそうです。“繊維の街”として知られる今日の岩本町問屋街の原型がこの頃に出来上がりました。

毎年5月と11月に「ファミリーバザール」と称して、繊維品を中心とした特売セールが行われます。その日は毎回数万人の人出があるそうです。
是非、その時期に訪れて見てください。きっとお買い得な商品があることでしょう。
