Geocache Description:

A fairly straightforward puzzle cache that requires some careful calculations (assuming perfect conditions and don't do any rounding), but no specialist knowledge. And, of course, the cache is not at the published location.

Now I've returned from my hols I thought I'd share a geocaching story I heard while I was away. Two cousins were each called Hans. In reference to their size they were distinguished by being called Big Hans and Little Hans. They were inseparable and, when they took up geocaching, they naturally always went out together. One day they had a fierce argument about the location of a cache. They agreed on the Westing (W 000 21.411) but could not agree on the Northing.

However, a geocaching Angel heard their fight and "came among them" to resolve it. He took the cousins to a perfectly flat area and positioned them precisely 63km, 99m and 1.9cm (63.099019km) apart, as the crow flies. He equipped them each with bikes: Big Hans' travelled at a perfectly steady speed of 5m per second and Little Hans' travelled at 2.5m per second. The bikes were controlled by a sat nav system so that they always travelled directly towards the other cousin. The angel got each of them to start cycling at noon.

The cousins were certain the angel was confused but, sure enough, when the front wheels of their bikes touched, there was an X marked on the ground at the exact spot. As they each pulled back their bikes, the angel materialised directly on this spot. With the angel between them, Hans and Hans each listened intently as he said "now you have enough information to resolve your dispute, and it's about time too!" And, as suddenly as he had appeared, the angel disappeared.
