How Geocaching Works
MOVED HIGHER TO THE NORTHWEST FOR THE WINTER. COORDINATES UPDATED 1/3/09. Searching for ammo box.
You will have to do some bushwacking and hiking to get to this one either from the top or the bottom. This is winter accessible with very small amounts of snow, but definitely not winter friendly. May be very slippery if icy or snowcovered and would be best left until no snow is on the ground for safety and also to find the cache.
Edward J. Groth, Jr. owned this piece of land when he was killed on November 2, 1947 while fighting a fire as a member of the West Bend Fire Department. This cache is located in part of West Bend's beautiful Riverwalk system that goes all throughout the city of West Bend. You can also access the trail below this parking area. Take a moment to enjoy the beautiful view of the city and the pond below. A great place for a picnic lunch!
