Hole in One! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cow Spots: After the closure of the nearby business, two teams of finders reported encountering problems with security. Once is a fluke, but twice means it's time to archive it. Thanks to all the hunters.

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the coordinates listed above.

They are the coordinates of a golfer playing at the Randolph Municipal Golf Course. Consider the following scenario to determine the location of the cache:

The golfer at the above coordinates hits the ball with the initial velocity (vector vi in the diagram) of 46.02 meters per second at an angle 40.7° (represented by the angle theta) from the ground. He hits the ball 40.367° West of true North. The ball soars up into the air, meets with no obstructions, and miraculously scores a hole in one!

The cache is hidden where the ball would initially strike the ground for the hole in one!

Assume the terrain to be reasonably flat, and ignore the effects of wind and air resistance on the ball when computing your answer.

The cache itself is a micro container with a logsheet and room for small trades, including some extra goodies for the first few finders.

Good luck! And just maybe, you'll get a hole in one!

Thanks to Amy of MMNB for concept and artwork.
