Bronzing the Garbage Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

*Adopted from ThirstyMick
I recycled my cache container from the Original "Garbage Isle" for this listing. Cleaned up, replenished, and relocated, this cache takes you to another pretty spot on the Garbage Island in DeKorte Park.

Please CITO if necessary ;)

Don't worry it's not a trash covered island, but it once was. This area used to be a trash dump, but in 1968, the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission was created to reclaim key wildlife habitats. This site has been completely transformed back into wetlands. It's now a unique oasis in the middle of a very urban area... Visit the link above for more information on the transformation of this park.

250 species of birds have been spotten in DeKorte Park and 60 species nest here so don't forget your camera!

This cache is a smallish lock-n-lock, It's in a more used section of the park so please watch for muggles. The hint is pretty specific to minimize search time, please use the hint if you have any difficulty. Do not tear apart the lovely terrain.

When you enter, tell the guard you're here to visit the park. There are a couple of parking lots, just avoid the spots that say "reserved". Dogs are allowed, but they must be leashed.

I hope you enjoy this gem of a park as much as I have.
