Nockamixon had placed eight Ranger Rick-themed caches, but soon after, one went missing. I was doing the trail with my microcachers soon after that, and decided to put out a temporary replacement and contact the park to let them know.
As I headed out to the southern four caches (well, three not including the missing one) I noticed Geo-Ben's signature on the caches with the current day's date. I tried to call him but his aversion to mobile phone technology made that a fruitless endeavor.
We continued on our way, and between the first and second cache, who do we run into but the Geo-Ben clan. We talked for a few minutes, and I explained what I was up to, so Geo-Ben contributed some swag for the temporary cache.
Well, Nockamixon never got back to me after several attempts to contact them, but cachers started finding the temporary cache. After a few months, though, the park archived the original listing and put out their own, new replacement cache.
Geo-Ben went back and picked up the temporary container for me, and returned it to me the next time we met. What a great guy, the "nicest guy in geocaching" according to Team Firenze. This is that same container (and some of the same swag!)
So, this cache is dedicated to Geo-Ben. Don't forget to write down the code!
Park at the listed coordinates. You will have to do some light bushwhacking (20-30 feet) in some seasons to retrieve this cache. If a baseball game is going on at the park, stealth will prove difficult; most of the time, though, this park will be empty.
