you're a true world explorer! This is the 2nd cache on
the island of Cuba!!!
I was just in the neighborhood and thought this would be an interesting challenge for Geocaching visitors to the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base here on Cuba. The container is a small sandwich-sized tupperware dish hidden
inside an old, dilapidated ammo can. The cache is close to the roadside so you shouldn't wander into any of the many hazards associated with a military base in a tropical desert region on a non-allied communist country, but be mindful of:
- Razor wire fences
- Bannanna rats (mostly timid)
- Spiders (Black widows DO live here)
- Land crabs - They're big (and tasty, so they tell me)
- Armed U.S. Marines
But seriously, I hope you enjoy finding this cache if you ever find yourself visiting this unique and historical little piece of U.S. soil. Happy Geocaching!
