15 Years? Souvenir? TB Exchange? Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

New Market Mallers: Thanks again to all those who attended! I am archiving the event page to make room for the next event that I am hosting at this same location on 8/28. One more chance to get that event souvenir if you haven't already!

To the owners of the two trackables that are still in inventory as of today, I handed those to a geocacher from Europe who is traveling in the USA for a few weeks. They said they would log them once they get back home.

Geocache Description:

Didn't get a 15 Years of Geocaching coin yet? Didn't pick up the Summer of Geocaching souvenir for attending an event? Want to exchange some trackables? Just feel like coming out on your lunch break to see some other cachers? Come on down!

The event will run from 1230pm to 130pm. I will be wearing my blue New Market Mallers jersey and will be standing behind the George M Cohen statue, which is SW of the red bleachers. The statue is just north of 46th Street

As part of the celebration of 15 Years of Geocaching, cachers can complete quests to earn special souvenirs for your profile. One of those quests is to attend an event. So for any of you who have not gotten this souvenir yet, come on down and sign the log. If you want to come by and exchange some trackables, or just say hi to some fellow cachers...the more the merrier!

On May 2nd of this year, I hosted a 15 Years of Geocaching event in Central Park. I had ordered trackable geocoins to have available at the event, however there was a production issue and the coins did not arrive until a couple of weeks later. As a result, I still have a number of coins that will be made available at this event. The coins were designed to represent the flag of New York City. The "15" is a separate piece that sticks to a magnet in the coin, making this a 2-piece coin.
