This is where we walk our constant geocaching companion, Aurie. It’s a beach-front park nestled in against Lake Sammamish. The cache is an easy ¼ mile stroll along paved & graveled walkways. It’s just a few feet off the trail, no bushwhacking required!
During the summer, when the eagle-eyed lifeguards are present, the beach can be very busy, so try to be discrete. During the winter, the only people you are likely to meet are us, walking our dog.
Make sure you go down to the canoe launch, it’s a beautiful view from the dock. There are plenty of picnic tables, so bring a lunch! The Sammamish Sunrise multicache starts nearby, and there’s a benchmark too!
The cache is a .50 cal. ammo tin, and originally contained:
- Logbook
- 2 Travel Bugs: The Memory Bug & The Little Lion Bug
- “Zoo Tycoon” a PC Game (for firsties!)
- Copies of Mystery Music #2, #3, & #4
- A bag o’ balloons
- A box of crayons
- A Microsoft ‘zippie’
- An X-Box pencil
Aurie also contributed:
- A Fold-a-Bowl
- A Tennis Ball
- A little ID Capsule
Happy Caching!
