Some spectacular waterfalls on the Allt Ollach. This series of caches are located at waterfalls in Central Scotland. These were inspired by my visits to waterfalls over the past 20 years, which were motivated by Louis Scott’s book The Waterfalls of Scotland : 1987. I have chosen waterfalls that are less well-known whilst still being worthwhile visiting for their differing qualities.
This cache can be done on its own from the road end at Glen Artney or as part of the Glen Artney Donalds Series.
To approach this go through the field gate at the eastern end of the road bridge over the Water of Ruchill. Please note there is no parking here. You need to park at the car park at Glen Artney Church. Once through the sheep field you should pick up a rough track alongside the river taking you to the Allt Ollach Burn. A short but steep climb will take you to the cache site at the top of the gorge with good views of the waterfall. If coming down from Am Beannan there is a wooden bridge across the burn above the waterfall.
