Former Byzantine then Genoese and then Otoman fortress, today a village stretching between the lakes Babadag and Razelm, 287 km from Bucharest, about two litres of petrol away from Tulcea, less than 30 minutes away from Black Sea Coast, and a couple of hours by motorboat from the very heart of the Danube Delta.
