We had been looking for the perfect place to hide a cache in this park for a long time now and just happened to notice this spot. The reason I gave it a 2 on difficulty, is small hands will be needed to retreive the cache. We hope you enjoy Big Bear as much as we do! Stealth could be required on busy weekends, bring a pen, there is probably room for very small items, but we didnt start it with anything but a log sheet.

Not sure how to proceed, the park has been getting an update for a few months now. It is still fenced off for construction and we are unable to replace the cache at this time.

Sorry for the delay, time really got away from us this year? We will review the site on Dec. 26th (and have a new cache with us) and decide if we should re-hide or archive this one.

I noticed that either this cache has been temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com, or has been in need of maintenance for an extended period of time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please check this cache and either repair/replace it as needed, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Sure enough, somebody walked off with my cache?? Looks like the park or home owners may have moved the rocks a bit since the original hide. I will come up with something for our next trip up in a couple weeks.
