Historicamente foi este o inventor do telefone e “Mr. Watson, preciso de falar consigo!” foram as primeiras palavras proferidas através de uma linha telefónica, no dia 10 de Março de 1876 contudo, o Congresso dos Estados Unidos reconheceu em 2002 que o aparelho foi inventado por volta de 1860 pelo italiano Antonio Meucci, que o chamou "telégrafo falante”.

O telemóvel mais que uma grande invenção é também hoje em dia quase uma necessidade! Chamadas telefónicas, mensagens escritas, acesso à internet, são recursos que no mundo actual não são mais dispensáveis… Os aparelhos telefónicos mais recentes ajudaram também ao boom de novos Geocachers com a possibilidade de sinal GPS.
