One of my favorite locations in the Sparta Mountain WMA because there are so many great hidey holes.
When I placed Bounce a couple years ago, I was hiking with Treequest and he pointed out another great spot only about 50 feet away. I hadn't forgotten that spot but need to credit Treequest with the spot.
As I need to freshen up the area to draw some of you cachers back to this awesome area, I am going to take advantage of this great location. The name comes from the very real possibility that some big critter will park in this location to take a seasonal snooze so keep that in mind if you are a winter/early spring cacher.
The cache is an ammo can which fits very well in some of the tight spots in the area. Look closely, a flashlight will be a definite plus. There is a sizable rock in front of the cache which may slide toward you when you move it to get at the cache so keep that in mind.
The Sparta Mountain WMA is a hunting area so wear orange if you are out Monday - Saturday in season. Be aware that this area is full of local wildlife (ie., bears, snakes). Know how to react if you have an encounter and it should be an exciting experience. Don't reach into dark spots without making sure something isn't in there.
