A 2 Km trail leads you from the parking area to the the site on the eastern side of the harbour. The trail relativly new, rocky and can be a little wet.

FTF prize in the first page of the logbook. Please enjoy this area, take your time to look around this prestige harbour with almost no development. Country Harbour is natural deep water harbour on Nova Scotia's eastern shore. In summer you may see a number of small boats as local families picnic along the small beaches. If you look to the south you will see the cable ferry crossing. There are a few large shrimp factory freezer trawlers which use the pier to unload there catch. These ships travel north to west Greenland and back to Country Harbour.
You can also travel to this cache by Kayak, Canoe or boat. About a 2 km trip along the eastern side of the harbour. Launching N 45 10.495 W 061 41 826
United Empire Loyalist Site (c 1783) - Enjoy the peaceful 2km walking trail leading in Stormont leading you to the harbour's edge - side landing of the United Empire Loyalists. Historic panels interpret this historic arrival and life of the United Empire Loyalists who settled in Canada after the American Revolution (1775-1783).
